Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the Forge desktop application (the "Service") operated by PJ Ventures ("us", "we", or "our").

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the Service.

1. Use of the Service

Service Access

The Service is provided to you as a software license for use on your personal computer. As Forge operates in an offline-first, anonymous manner, no account registration is required to use the core features.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service:

  • In any way that violates any applicable law or regulation
  • For the purpose of exploiting or harming minors in any way
  • To transmit any advertising, promotional material, spam, or similar solicitation
  • To impersonate PJ Ventures, an employee, another user, or any other person or entity

2. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original source code, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of PJ Ventures and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. Our trademarks may not be used without prior written consent.

3. User Content (Atomic Notes)

The Service allows you to create, store, and link your own content ("User Content").

  • Local Storage: All User Content is stored locally on your device. We do not access, transmit, or store copies of your notes or files.
  • User Responsibility: You are solely responsible for the legality and appropriateness of your User Content.
  • No License Grant: Since your content is stored locally, you grant us no license to your User Content.

4. Third-Party Links

Our Service may contain links to third-party websites or services not owned or controlled by PJ Ventures. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.

5. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your license to use the Service immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease. You may discontinue using the Service at any time.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

Your use of the Service is at your sole risk. The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

7. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall PJ Ventures, its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses.

8. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
